Now in his third year with Pete Carr Pro Rodeo, Jake King grew up around rodeo. His father was a PRCA bull rider, and his mother was a Catalina cowgirl who rodeo cutting horses.
As a high schooler, King competed in all traditional school sports while also roping and steer wrestling in rodeo. At home, his family raised bulls and had a bucking pen around the house, so it was a natural fit for King to take to fighting bulls.
He attended Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas, where he bulldogged and fought bulls. After earning his degree, he began his career as a bullfighter.
In 2015, he was voted to protect cowboys at the RAM Texas Circuit Finals Rodeo. He has proven over the course of his young career that he wants to be one of the best to have ever gone face to face with a powerful bull.
