A former bareback rider, Pete Carr is the founder, owner and president of Pete Carr Pro Rodeo. Raised in Dallas by a single mother, he found his way to the Western way of life through rodeo.
A city boy on the wild frontier, Pete Carr traveled the rodeo circuit riding bucking horses for about two decades. Though he has had other ventures in his life – he owns and operates Resource Commercial Inc., a general contracting firm he founded in 1993 – Pete Carr always found his way back to rodeo.
In addition to operating the largest livestock production firm in the PRCA, Pete Carr is an avid team roper and competes as often as his schedule allows.
His giving nature is extended into both Resource Commercial and Pete Carr Pro Rodeo. The rodeo company regularly donates the use of animals and expertise to the Southeast Texas Bareback Riding School, which offers a free rodeo education to young men who want to be world-class cowboys. The contracting firm is an integral part of the Dallas community and has strong relationships with numerous charitable groups, especially those organizations involving children.
Pete Carr is more than a business owner. He is dedicated to his team of professionals, and they all work together to make everything click from one rodeo to another. It’s a winning combination for rodeo committees, contestants and fans.
