Sandy Gwatney has had a lifelong love affair with horses, and she has carried that over into a varied rodeo career.
From showing horses as a youngster to roping to hazing for her husband and other steer wrestlers, horses have defined Sandy Gwatney. She carried that passion over to the production side of rodeo.
She has been recognized as one of the top secretaries in ProRodeo through three nominations for Secretary of the Year. She also has worked that prestigious post at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping.
Over a career, Sandy Gwatney has served as a timer for the steer roping finals and the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. She has also served as an assistant secretary at the Wrangler NFR. She puts all that experience to business at Pete Carr Pro Rodeos across this land. She knows her job and is willing to go above and beyond to make each run and each ride reflect the best on everyone around her.
